INFORMATION FOR OUR PATIENTS

At Evergreen Eye Center, our doctors and staff are here for you. In addition to providing top-flight medical and surgical eye care, we believe firmly in providing the utmost in individualized attention, service, and support. Among other things, this means keeping you informed and giving you the tools you need: downloadable patient documents, answers to common questions, information about news and events, and more.

Step 01

Before Surgery

Learn what makes you a good candidate for LASIK or cataract surgery, and get answers to common questions before your consultation. Ideal LASIK candidates are over 21, with a stable prescription, sufficient corneal thickness, and no untreated dry eye.

Step 02

Surgery Day

LASIK is performed using topical anesthesia, so most patients feel pressure but not pain. Evergreen's IntraLase technology creates the corneal flap with laser energy rather than a hand held blade.

Step 03

After Surgery

Most LASIK patients resume normal activities within 24 to 48 hours, with vision continuing to stabilize over the following days and weeks. Any dry, scratchy feeling after surgery is common and typically resolves within hours, and can be treated with drops.
